IRATA Rope Access
Level 1 Course
Course duration
This course will take 5 days to complete

IRATA Rope Access
Level 2 Course
Course duration
This course will take 5 days to complete
What will you learn?
- Learning rope access theory and practice, which will include the calculation
of safe working loads, calculating rigging
angles and optimal hauling ratios - Basic casualty retrieval hauling system techniques
- Rescue methods that include ascent as well as aid-climb positions
- Advanced rigging techniques, such as wide Y-hangs, tensioned lines, and pull-throughs
- Performing rescues using the most common drills, such as rope-to-rope
transfers, deviations, and re-belays
Entry Requirements?
- At least 1 years’ experience as an IRATA Level 1 Technician
- Demonstrated competency in Level 1 techniques
- A minimum of 1000 logged hours using rope access

IRATA Rope Access
Level 3 Course
Course duration
This course will take 5 days to complete
What will you learn?
- Practical application of rope access theory, including rescue planning, method
statement amendments and adherence to
the relevant legislation - How to correctly plan for a job including manpower assessment as well as problem
identification skills - Rescue methods for a wide variety of situations, including the dreaded worst-case scenarios
- Three-dimensional restraint casualty hauling methods
- Gaining keen insights into equipment limits, capacities, and best practices
Entry Requirements?
- Passed IRATA Level 2
- Minimum 1 years’ experience as an IRATA Level 2 Technician
- A minimum of 1000 logged and signed off hours as a Level 2 Technician (by Level
3 technician)
